Pagosa Springs in Archuleta County is well known for its hot springs, but it is also a hotbed for real estate in southwest Colorado. The town of about 1,750 residents sits more than 7,100 feet in the beautiful San Juan Basin, surrounded by nearly three million acres of national forest and wilderness areas. The entire area has stunning landscapes and a variety of outdoor activities. Those who purchase a house in Pagosa Springs can spend their days skiing, fishing, hiking, biking and exploring ancient Ancestral Puebloan sites.

There are houses for sale all around Pagosa Springs, including well-maintained older homes and newer residences close to the town's core. The San Juan River runs through town, so some nicer high-end luxury homes are available for sale with immediate river access. There are also more affordable residences only a short walk from the river or downtown's services, restaurants and nightlife.
